What is in the box
The everyday tools first, then the parts that make it yours. Quire is pre-release, so some parts are still being checked.
Built in, not bolted on
Nothing here is a plugin. It all comes in the one product.
- Courses
- Pages, books, files and activities, with completion and access rules.
- Quizzes
- Eighteen question types and five ways a quiz can behave.
- Grades
- Weighted, natural, median or your own formula.
- Certificates and badges
- Issued when a learner meets the completion rules.
- Reports
- Completion, participation and compliance.
- Messages sent in your client's name, and notifications by web push, SMS, Slack or Teams.

Courses, quizzes and grades
Build courses from pages, books, files and activities.
Mark quizzes and assignments. Let the gradebook add up the marks the way your institution does.
- Course templates you build once and reuse.
- Completion rules and access rules.
- Notifications by email, web push, SMS, Slack or Teams.
- Reports for completion, participation and compliance.
- Optional AI help. Each organization picks its provider and sets a budget.
- Available in 116 locales. English and 20 more are translated in full. All translations are machine made and not yet reviewed.
- Supports SCORM, xAPI, cmi5, LTI, QTI and OneRoster. Testing against outside conformance suites is not finished.

Every client gets its own space
Organizations can nest, so a group can hand administration to its divisions.
Separate
Each organization has its own domain, sign-in, theme and email sender.
Walled
The database keeps each client's data apart. A query that forgets to ask still sees nothing from another client.
Shared on purpose
Courses, templates and question banks are shared only where you allow it. A large client can move to its own database.
Open to other systems
The product uses the same REST API that you do.
- REST API
- Described in OpenAPI 3.1. Cursor pagination and idempotency keys.
- Webhooks
- Signed, retried and replayable from a delivery log.
- Sign-in
- OIDC, SAML, LDAP, SCIM, passkeys and MFA.
- Automation
- Rules in the product, an n8n node, a HubSpot app and an MCP server. The n8n and HubSpot listings are not published yet.
- Learning tools
- LTI 1.3 as platform and as tool. Bring your own H5P provider.
- Extensions
- Compiled into the build. There is no plugin marketplace.
Run it on your own servers
One Docker Compose file starts the whole platform.
Your data, files and email stay with you. The licence key checks offline.
Upgrades are staged, so people keep working while you roll them out.
An export holds everything a client owns. You can move between hosted and self-hosted.

| Optional service | What it adds | Without it |
|---|---|---|
| scan | Malware scanning of uploads | Uploads are stored unscanned, and administrators are told |
| preview | Office file previews and certificates | Files offer a download |
| video | Video renditions | Video plays as the original file |
| images | Image resizing | Images are served at their original size |
Built to be audited
Isolate
Row-level security on every client table. Roles can allow, prevent or prohibit.
Record
Audit entries are hash-chained with signed checkpoints. A tool checks the chain.
Restrict
Stored credentials are sealed. No one holds standing access to production. Break-glass access names a reason and expires by itself.
- Accessibility is tested against WCAG 2.2 AA with automated checks. A manual screen reader pass is still to do.
- Tools for GDPR requests, retention schedules and consent records are built in.
